Our goal is to continue to build upon the attendance and participation in the Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is held in the Village of Wappingers Falls, NY on the first Saturday of March.
Marchers should Line up at 12 Noon in the parking lot behind St. Mary’s Church. Parade step off time is 1 pm sharp.

This is our Thirteenth Parade and its being held March 1st, 2008.

We created this web site so you can obtain all the information you need, including the Application to march in the Parade. The Irish Community can keep informed about the cultural events that are happening in Dutchess County by visiting this page regularly and accessing the links provided on it.

The St. Patrick’s Parade Committee was formed in the fall of 1995 by several members of the community and the Kevin Barry Irish Club. They gathered together to discuss having a St. Patrick’s Parade for Dutchess County residents. From this inspired group, a committee was formed and the fund raising began. Yes, it does cost money to run a Parade. All Marching Bands must be paid for and any transportation provided comes at a cost as well. We are now exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501C3 of the IRS code and therefore all contributions to the Parade Committee are deductible under Section 170 of the tax code. We are actively seeking Corporate Sponsors at this time so that we can continue to grow. We issue a Parade Journal every year, which solicits ads to support the operational cost of the Parade. A Journal Ad Application is also provided on this site. For participants in the parade, registration ends February 18, 2008.
